Crime Stoppers WA
Through the support of Police & Nurses and other sponsors, Crime Stoppers is able to assist thousands of Western Australians every year, through helping to solve crimes and seek missing persons. Thanks to Crime Stoppers there is now a far greater chance of criminals being exposed by people who previously would not contact police, due to fear of becoming involved, or in some cases a genuine fear of retaliation.
Police & Nurses is proud to be a major sponsor of Crime Stoppers WA.
"It is pleasing to know that the Crime Stoppers program in WA is the strongest in Australia and also recognised as a world leader. This has occurred for a number of reasons; support from good corporate citizens through input in our Crime Stoppers Board, corporate sponsorship, media cooperation and, of course information from the public. We must continue to work in this type of partnership to prevent and detect crime, for crime prevention really is everyone's business."
Karl O'Callaghan, Commissioner of WA Police

Police & Nurses is a major sponsor of Police & Community Youth Centres (PCYC). PCYC is a joint partnership between the Western Australian Police and the community providing young people with the support and activities aimed at developing citizenship, friendship and fitness.
The financial assistance from Police & Nurses is used to support a variety of PCYC activities and fund an annual prize for the Police Rangers. The Police Rangers is an adventure based development group for young people. The program is designed to increase self esteem, confidence, team building, and leadership skills through adventure activities, drill techniques, emergency skills and much more.
Police & Nurses is pleased to support this important community initiative. For more information about PCYC or the Police Rangers, visit the PCYC website.

Australian Nursing Federation (WA Branch)
