Superannuation

For most of us, superannuation will form an important part of our retirement income. Police & Nurses Financial Planning can help you make the most of your superannuation.

  • We can help you navigate the complex rules on preserving and accessing superannuation benefits
  • We can advise on your superannuation options if you change jobs or are made redundant. Depending on your individual situation, rolling over superannuation assets may not be the best option.
  • We will work with you to develop strategies to boost your superannuation savings

Retirement Planning

Planning early will help you get the most out of your retirement and achieve your lifestyle goals. If possible, we recommend starting at least five years before your planned retirement date.

The Government’s objective is to provide a full pension only as a safety net for those in real financial need. With proper planning you can generate your own retirement income and supplement it with the social security allowances and benefits that you are entitled to receive.

Approaching retirement it’s important to work out how much money you already have in retirement savings and how much you will receive in retirement payments.

It is likely that your retirement funds will be made up of:

  • Your superannuation
  • Money from your employer – such as a retirement lump sum
  • Other assets you have accumulated outside superannuation, such as investment properties, shares and managed funds

Police & Nurses Financial Planning can help you plan for your retirement and show you ways to make the most of your retirement funds. Speak to your Financial Planner about developing your individual retirement strategy.

Life Insurance

Have you ever wondered what would happen with your home loan repayments and other financial commitments if something happened to you? You can avoid financial burdens caused by death, illness or injury by protecting yourself with life and income insurance.

At Police & Nurses we understand that getting the right type and level of personal insurance cover is vital for our members, however having to work your way through the numerous products, policy options and features available can be a daunting prospect.

Your Police & Nurses Financial Planner can help guide you through the process to identify the type and level of Life Insurance cover that best suits your personal circumstances.

Types of cover available at a glance:

  • Can be used to eliminate debt and help fund your family's ongoing living expenses.
